We’re a community of Jesus followers in the heart of Winchester, gathering people from every stage of life to worship the living God.
At our core, we’re ordinary people transformed by an extraordinary God. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we’re passionate about living out the message of the Bible together.
We help people get to know and follow Jesus and grow in God’s Word. We equip believers to serve Winchester, the wider UK, and support God’s global mission, bringing hope, joy, and blessing wherever we go.
Everyone is welcome at Hope. We come as we are, and in God’s kindness, he shapes us into who we’re made to be.

We are an evangelical, charismatic, and protestant church and hold to the historic, core, and common tenets of the Christian faith as expressed in the Apostles', Nicene, and Chalcedonian Creeds.
We affirm the modern statement of faith of the Evangelical Alliance and believe the Bible to be the inspired and inerrant Word of God and is sufficient in all matters of faith and practice. We believe that water baptism is for people who have repented of their sins and come to trust Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is still operative today and still apportions spiritual gifts to believers. We are generally reformed in our theology, with an emphasis on God's grace and justification by faith alone.
We are part of Commission, a family of churches that partner in global mission, united by common values, vision, beliefs, and relationships. We are also part of Newfrontiers.
In The Bible, we find local churches are served by elders (See Titus 1: 5-9 & 1 Timothy 3:1-7), and we have the same set-up here at Hope Church. Below are our current elders alongside their wives.
Behind everything we do is a passionate team of staff and volunteers, all working to serve our community and live out our mission together. Here are a few of the people helping make it happen.

Community groups are the heartbeat of the church. Meeting throughout the week, they help people feel known and connected. Here is a small selection of the leaders who make them possible.
As a charity, we are overseen by a board of trustees who play a key role in governing our church.
