We seek to honour the dignity of human life and have high regard for each individual person as a creation in the image of God. We therefore aim to deliver the highest possible quality of care to our children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Children and young people
Hope Church Winchester (HCW) are committed to safeguarding children and considers that the safety and well being of children is of paramount importance. We expect all who attend HCW, especially leaders, trustees and all who work with children to do their part to keep children safe and cared for.
Vulnerable adults
Those who work with vulnerable adults at HCW are expected to offer care in ways which uphold the dignity and value of the individual.
Policies and Procedures
HCW has in place a Safeguarding Policy with additional Guidelines and Procedures which have been endorsed by HCW Trustees and Elders and are reviewed annually.
HCW is committed to provide a safe environment for staff, volunteers, and anyone who comes into contact with it.
We expect workers to keep to the relevant policies and we give training and put in place oversight to ensure this happens. We follow a safe recruiting process for paid and volunteer workers, including DBS checks.
