WHY DO THE PARENTING CHILDREN COURSE?

- Children do not arrive with an instruction manual

- No role we undertake in life is more important than parenting

- Family life is under great pressure today

- Parents face bewildering choices about how to parent effectively

- Discovering we are not alone in the challenges we face and picking up ideas from other parents can make a huge difference

- We can all learn how to make even the happiest family better

HOW DO I KNOW THE COURSE IS RIGHT FOR ME?

- Are you a parent or carer of one or more children aged 0 to 10 years old?

- Are you expecting your first child?

- Would you like your family life to be the best it can be?

WHAT IS COVERED ON THE PARENTING CHILDREN COURSE?

Over five weekly sessions you will discover practical tools to help you:

- build a strong family centred on love

- meet your children’s needs

- set effective boundaries

- teach healthy relationships

- pass on the values you hold to be important

WHAT HAPPENS ON A COURSE AND WHERE?

The course is hosted in the homes of families who have experience of parenting and often still in the process of bringing up their children. They do not purport to be experts, but do have a passion to see family life the best it can be. Each host will take a maximum of 6 parents into their home for the five week course, run on days to suit. The evening begins with meal together, followed by a DVD presentation and opportunities to discuss issues as a group, facilitated by your host.
